Indications / Uses

Emuflam may assist in the temporary relief of the pain of osteoarthritis. It may assist in the management of osteoarthritic pain and lower back pain. It may provide relief of muscular aches and pains.

 

Dosage / Direction for Use

Apply onto the affected areas and gently massage until all of the cream is absorbed. Repeat up to 3 times daily.

 

Warnings

External use only. Avoid contact with eyes and open wounds. If symptoms persist, consult a healthcare professional. Emuflam contains Phenoxyethanol, and homoeopathic ingredients.

Storage

Store below 30°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight. Do not use if neck seal is removed.

Mechanism of Action

Emuflam: A non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID) medication, especially formulated to provide rapid relief from pain associated with arthritis and muscular injuries. It has a powerful anti-inflammatory action, soothing aggravated joints and muscle tissue.The ingredients in this preparation are recognised and documented to possess anti-arthritic properties. Its actions and properties last for 6-8 hours giving longer lasting relief of painful osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis, sports injury, musculoskeletal injury, muscle spasm.
Emu Oil: Oil rendered from the fat of the emu, Dromaius novaehollandiae, a flightless bird indigenous to Australia, pharmaceutical grade emu oil is naturally high in Omega 3, 6 and 9, Oleic acid (for skin repair) and Linolenic acid, evidenced to possess anti-inflammatory properties. Emu Oil when used topically (rubbed into the skin) has shown that it may reduce the painful swelling and inflammation associated with arthritis and increase joint mobility and muscle pain.
Rosemary Oil: Rosemary oil is extracted from Rosmarinus officinalis (also known as Rosmarinus coronarium) a shrubby evergreen bush green-gray needle-shaped leaves and pale blue/lilac flowers cultivated in France, Tunisia and Yugoslavia. The main chemical components of rosemary oil are a-pinene, borneol, b-pinene, camphor, bornyl acetate, camphene, 1,8-cineole and limonene. The therapeutic properties of rosemary oil are rubefacient analgesic and astringent.
Wintergreen Oil: Oil extracted from Gaultheria procumbens (American wintergreen) is a species of Gaultheria native to northeastern North America Wintergreen berries. Used topically Wintergreen oil is remedy for muscle and joint discomfort, arthritis, edema, poor circulation, rheumatism, tendinitis, inflammation, gout, broken or bruised bones.
Arnica montana: Arnica montana flower extract, native to Europe, has long been used medicinally in topical preparations for strains, sprains, and bruises. According to The Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Centre, clinical trials suggest benefits of arnica for osteoarthritis and reduction in postoperative swelling and pain. It is known for its ability to speed the healing of tissues by improving blood circulation and helping the oxygen to get to the cells quicker. Arnica is an effective treatment for sprains, muscle and joint pain that is generally aggravated by movement. Arnica helps speed the healing process and treats the pain and inflammation resulting from joint pain and arthritis. It has also been used to relieve back pain.
